How many grams of protein one euro buys.
Protein is the most expensive part of food, and the price per kilo does not tell you much — what matters is how much protein is in the product. For each one we work out how many grams of protein a euro buys: protein per 100 g, multiplied by the pack size, divided by the price. Eggs, curd, pulses, chicken and tinned fish come out on top — the cheapest sources there are.
