What is E621?
Aroma and flavor enhancer (E621) – flavour enhancer. Monosodium glutamate (MSG) enhances savoury taste; glutamate occurs naturally in tomatoes, cheese and mushrooms. In 2017 EFSA set a group safe intake of 30 mg/kg body weight a day.
